Praying with our children is the most important thing we can do every morning before leaving home. It instills a sense of purpose, peace, and hope by living the Word out in our daily lives. Over time this prayer will become part of your family’s morning practice, and as your children become young adults, they automatically ARMOR FIRST every morning.
My prayer with my Granddaughter goes like this: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for waking us up for another day’s journey. Thank you for going before us and protecting. Today, we are putting on our armor to protect us throughout the day, to resist the enemy and help us to become more like You.

Every morning our children head out of our homes unprotected! Why? When it is cold outside, depending on where we live, we give them coats, boots, hats, scarves, and gloves. But we fail to prepare them for the wiles of the day. We do not train them to put on the Whole Armor of God before they leave home. This invisible armament protects them throughout the day.
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11 NLT)
It is important that our children are able to overcome social media, bullying, gossiping and the immorality that exists in our society.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world. (Ephesians 6:12 NLT)
Each morning when my Granddaughter and I say our morning prayers (before leaving the house and going to school), we put on our armor, it is our protective gear.
