In times such as these, our youth MUST intentionally learn how to apply the Word of God in their daily lives, to become Young Christian Warriors, to govern who they are and how they develop character and integrity as they walk this earth. The Word confirms what we are to do during this life. Philippians 4:9 (NLT) says,
Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me-everything you heard; from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
Our youth live in a sinful world, focused on ‘me,’ immediate gratification, relaxed values, bullying, shaming and social media addiction. The external input is overwhelming. Teaching our children to be firm in their convictions is important, especially in today’s society. They must know how to respond to social pressures from peers, friends, and outside sources. It is our priority, as parents, to teach them how to protect themselves by applying the Word of God when making daily decisions that impact their lives.
In Romans 12:2 (NLT), the Word says,
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
This is the time for all Christian parents and caretakers to build Gods army. Join us in this endeavor.
