Your thoughts convert to ACTION. Be careful what you think.
Life of words.
Words activate what you are thinking and are powerful. As Christian, we tell ourselves that we daily aspire to become more like Christ, but do we? Christ did not mince words, have hurtful thoughts, or allow negative thoughts to govern His actions. Christ was very intentional about His thoughts. His thoughts manifested in love. His thoughts were reflected in His walked when He was living on earth, and today. Our goal is to have a pure heart. A pure heart is the result of surrendering our thoughts for Christ-like thoughts.
Max Lucado often shares in his writings that, “to have a pure heart, we must submit all thoughts to the authority of Christ. If we are willing to do that, he will change us to be like him.”
God knew we were frail and established rules to help us get out of our own way. He freed us of our sins when Christ was crucified. Christ helps us filter our thoughts that are not in agreement with the Word until we no longer process those thoughts. He also loves us so much that if we sin, we can repent, asking God’s forgiveness and strength to change the way we think.
God provides avenues to strengthen our resolve and they all begin with prayer, praise, and worship. Praise the Lord. He is a good Father.
Learn to live a life of love.
