A friend shared this with me today, and I am passing it on to you. The post and prayer are a good way to begin to close out 2018.
“Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; and Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered” Psalm 40:5, NKJV.
No one knows what the Lord has done for you. I haven’t seen your struggles or your fight that you have had to endure. Yet, God brought you out of a dark place. He set you in a large place and blessed you. He took away your pain and gave you a passion for living. You always find yourself coming out on top. You use to be an angry man, but He has put love in your heart. He opened the door when you know you didn’t deserve it. He picked you up. He took away your secret sin problems. He took away your addictions. He took away some bad habits and is removing others also. Even now, You see His hand doing something wonderful in your life.
Think about what God has done and be overwhelmed at how good He has been specifically to you. If you tried to count everything that the Lord has done for you, it’s too much. Too much to speak of. Too much to praise Him for. Too much to thank Him for. He has been that good to you. Let this keep you joyful and hopeful that this same God will continue to do great things for you.
Prayer: Father, thank You. No one knows like I know what You’ve done for me. When I think of Your goodness, I am overwhelmed by all of Your wonderful works You’ve done in my life. You saved me. You delivered me. You changed this man. You picked this man up. You blessed me, and help me to trust that You will continue to do great things for me. I thank You Lord! Thank You. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
